About the Role
The Head of Legal Operations & Innovation is responsible for reimagining how legal services are delivered at Law Squared. This role drives operational excellence embeds innovation and introduces scalable tech-enabled solutions that enhance client value and differentiate the firm in the market. It sits at the intersection of legal service delivery process design and innovation leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Legal Operations Leadership
Advise the executive team on emerging legal and non-legal technologies and their application within legal services and how they can benefit Law Squared
Build technology infrastructure that allows the firm to serve more clients with the same resources directly boosting revenue per lawyer
Ability to extract data-driven insights that improve decision-making and client reporting
Successfully drive and execute digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency client service and competitive advantage
Introduce project management practices to support predictable efficient delivery of all initiatives
Innovation & Service Delivery
Embed and adopt automation AI and workflow solutions into legal practice
Collaborate with legal teams to pilot and implement innovative delivery models
Ensure a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation within the firm
Elevate the internal tech and innovation literacy of legal team
Collaborate with Cubed team to integrate client-facing technology into Law Squareds service offerings
Driving Top-Line Growth
Client-Facing Solutions: Develop or co-create legal tech tools/platforms that can be commercialised or embedded in client solutions.
Differentiated Service Delivery: Use automation AI and data analytics to deliver legal services faster with unique insights creating new fee models (fixed fee subscription outcome-based pricing).
Sales Enablement: Provide the business development team with client-ready demos prototypes or case studies that showcase innovation in action.
Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics not only internally (efficiency) but also externally turning firm data into benchmarking insights or market reports that clients value and will pay for.
Strategic Client Engagement: Position technology as a revenue enabler by being part of key client pitches highlighting how the firm uses tech to deliver better outcomes.
Positioning as a Thought Leader
Industry Voice: Publish articles white papers and case studies on how technology (AI automation analytics) is transforming legal services.
Speaking Engagements: Represent the firm at conferences panels and webinars showcasing both internal innovation and client impact stories.
Client Education: Run thought leadership events or workshops for clients on legal technology trends positioning the firm as a trusted advisor not just a service provider.
Internal Ambassadors: Elevate the tech-savviness of lawyers and staff so that everyone in the firm becomes a credible advocate of innovation.
Governance Risk & Compliance
Ensure all systems processes and data management practices comply with legal and regulatory obligations including those specific to law firms
Work closely with Risk & Compliance team (Technology Finance Operations) to manage technology-related risks
Team & Collaboration
Lead mentor and develop internal team members and work with external specialists as required
Build cross-functional collaboration across the group to embed technology as an enabler of performance
Operational Excellence
Define and track KPIs related to efficiency service quality and client satisfaction.
Optimise budgets and investments alongside Group COO related to legal operations and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in legal operations innovation or transformation leadership.
Strong understanding of legal service delivery client needs and technology enablers.
Experience with process improvement project management and data-driven insights.
Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and innovation initiatives
Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills
Exposure to legal tech automation or AI-driven tools.
Law degree preferred
