The Deerfield Park District provides exceptional parks facilities and recreation programs that enrich lives and promote healthy living. Our 100000-square-foot Sachs Recreation Center offers fitness wellness and sports activities for all ages featuring a full-service fitness center lap pool gymnasiums tennis and racquetball courts and specialized studios.

Position Overview
The Manager on Duty (MOD) oversees daily operations when full-time managers are not on-site. This includes supervising staff ensuring smooth facility and program operations and delivering excellent customer service to members and guests.

Essential Functions

Oversee front desk fitness floor and daily facility schedule.
Supervise and support part-time staff; report performance issues as needed.
Respond promptly to member and guest inquiries concerns and requests.
Handle cash and credit transactions; process daily deposits.
Secure facility set alarms and follow closing procedures.
Conduct tours process memberships and promote the recreation center.
Maintain a clean professional front desk and facility environment.
Ensure all policies and safety procedures are followed.
Perform general administrative duties as needed.
Must be able to open and close the facility independently

Qualifications

Minimum age 21.
Strong communication customer service and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask stay organized and remain calm under pressure.
Basic computer and cash-handling skills required.
CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain).
Genuine interest in working with people of all ages in a team-oriented environment.

Hours & Pay

Part-Time Shifts Available:
- Weeknights: 5:009:00 PM
- Weekends: 7:00 AM12:00 PM or 12:005:00 PM
Pay: $20.00$22.00/hour (starting at $20.00)
