Job Title: Testing Facilitator (Elementary)
Supervisor:Coordinator of School Counseling & Testing; Director of Student Support Services
Pay Grade:Part-time; $30.00 per hour
Terms of Employment: Part-time (337.5 hours per year or 45 days at 7.5 hours a day)
Job Summary:
Position is responsible for providing guidance and expertise in the monitoring and implementation of the divisions state and local testing programs (to include Standards of Learning (SOL) Access for ELLs Virginia Alternative Assessment Program and Student Growth Assessment ACT WorkKeys Business writing and WorkPlace Documents assessments Local Performance Assessments and Local Alternative Assessments). Position responsibilities include the training of school test coordinators and other school staff distributing and collecting test materials analyzing test results and presenting information to various stakeholder groups.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinate and implement all school-level standardized testing programs ensuring full compliance with local state and federal guidelines.
- Serve as the primary resource to school staff and administration regarding assessment planning test administration procedures student participation decisions and interpretation of results.
- Order inventory distribute and collect testing materials (paper and online) while maintaining test security protocols and documentation.
- Establish and communicate testing schedules in coordination with administration ensuring minimal disruption to instructional time.
- Train all school staff involved in testing administration on current policies procedures and test security guidelines.
- Submit testing irregularities and security incidents per VDOE and district guidelines and monitor for compliance throughout the building.
- Maintain accurate student testing records demographic data and assessment documentation in accordance with state and local retention policies.
- Collaborate regularly with division-level testing personnel and attend required meetings and professional development related to assessments.
- Support the development and revision of testing guidance documents and help update assessment-related content and resources on school or division websites.
- Stay current with educational testing research updates from the Virginia Department of Education and evolving policies to ensure continuous improvement in the schools assessment practices.
- Effectively communicates with school and division staff students and families. Maintains professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Principal or central office staff.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in education human services business technology or related field is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with educational experience. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
