Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pediatric Float Pool
Location: Syracuse NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 8 Hours/Day 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate: $1745 per week (Gross)
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Pediatric Float Pool provides direct and indirect nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units. The CNA ensures patient safety assists with daily care activities and supports nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform direct patient care activities including obtaining vital signs assisting with toileting bathing feeding and mobility.
Serve as a safety companion for patients deemed at risk.
Provide indirect care support to nursing staff as needed.
Work across multiple pediatric units adapting to different patient needs and care requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities.
Follow infection control safety protocols and hospital policies.
Successfully pass all pre-employment health clearance requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 1 year of patient care experience.
Experience in Level 1 trauma settings required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced pediatric care environment.
Certifications:
Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
