Specialist Teaching Assistant Year 2 (Hearing Impairment Support)
Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with hearing impairments We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brent (NW10) providing one-to-one and small group support for Year 2 pupils who are hard of hearing.
In this role you will work closely with the class teacher SENCO and external specialists to ensure pupils can access learning in an inclusive and engaging way. Youll use specialist strategies and communication methods such as British Sign Language (BSL) or visual aids to enhance understanding and participation in lessons. Your support will play a key role in helping children build confidence independence and academic progress.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience supporting children with hearing impairments or in a deaf-friendly environment.
- Knowledge of speech and language development or BSL (advantageous but not essential).
- A patient empathetic approach with excellent communication skills.

Contract: Full-time long-term
Salary: 95115 per day (depending on experience)
