The Position
In R&D Software Engineering Tools and Infrastructure team we are responsible for supporting all software engineering teams within R&D. We are a distributed team handling infrastructure configuration management software tooling process automation and developer support for the R&D organization. Join us and help us with our mission - to make world heathier cleaner and safer!
Key responsibilities include but are not exclusively:
- Infrastructure improvements: contribute to the automation efforts to remove manual labour and improve efficiency
- Improve Management of Software Licenses: Assist in organizing and maintaining accurate records of all software licenses.
- Find Cost-Savings Possibilities: Analyze software license usage to find opportunities for cost savings including multi-year license renewal options and alternative solutions.
- Improve Reporting: Develop and improve reporting mechanisms to provide clear access to software license usage and compliance.
- Software License Renewal and Vendor Discussions: Assist in the process of software license renewals and engage in discussions with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python or Other Scripting Languages: Ability to write scripts to automate tasks and analyze data.
- Experience with Generative AI Tools: Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT notebook LM and Anthropic Claude.
- MS Office Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Excel PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Proficient in English
