Position Summary
Seasonal Position - Apply the general knowledge of the physical sciences and mathematics underlying engineering and specialized knowledge of the mechanics of solids (particularly of soils) hydraulics theory of structure strength of materials engineering geology and surveying. The Project Engineer II will assist with the overall execution of projects in accordance with the established budget schedule contract plans and specifications. Ensure the companys safety culture is documented communicated and enforced in accordance with the companys established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing project submittals.
- Maintaining project record documents.
- Perform technical review of contract plans and specifications.
- Provide oversight and documentation related to project quality control in accordance with the contract plans specifications and company policies and procedures.
- Preparing daily construction reports and progress tracking.
- Manage interpret and perform site surveying.
- Assist with the management of subcontractors.
- Assist with the procurement or rental of equipment and materials.
- Assist Project Manager with project daily cost reporting and tracking.
- Assist in the development of project cost estimates proposals and material take-offs.
- Perform technical analysis of the remediation methodologies of various previously remediated projects.
- Travel to project sites as necessary for extended durations.
- Adhere to all federal state and local regulations.
- Strong knowledge of construction engineering codes standards and interdependencies.
- Ability to interpret project plans specifications and instructions in various formats.
- Proficiency in relevant legislation quality control and mathematical applications.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and data analysis.
- Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
- Three plus years of experience in civil engineering or construction management.
- Valid Drivers License and ability to drive on behalf of company business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Experience with Microsoft Project scheduling software.
- Experience with USACE QCS System.
- Experience with site surveying both conventional and GPS.
- Assisting with the development of cost estimates and proposals.
- Prior experience with materials procurement and purchasing.
- The following safety training is preferred but not mandatory. Company will provide additional training as necessary.
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER training
- Competent Person Safety Training
- 8-Hour Supervisory Training
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training
- First Aid and CPR
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This office-based role requires frequent computer use and effective communication with occasional travel to project sites as needed. Site visits may involve extended periods of standing or walking and required PPE with potential exposure to heavy equipment chemicals dust fumes uneven terrain and extreme weather.
