Job Title: Varsity Girls Basketball Head CoachLocation: Sutton High School Employment Type: StipendStart Date: December 1 2025Position Overview:The Sutton High School Athletic Department is seeking a dynamic knowledgeable and dedicated Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach to lead and build upon our highly successful girls basketball program. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering athletic excellence teaching valuable skills and promoting a positive and inclusive team culture. The Head Coach will oversee the teams development manage coaching staff and work collaboratively with players parents and administration to create a successful and positive experience for all Responsibilities:Develop and implement training programs to improve team performance individual skills and overall and manage all aspects of the Varsity Girls Basketball team including practices games and team players in the fundamentals of basketball strategy and sportsmanship while encouraging teamwork and character and facilitate pre-season conditioning practices and team-building effectively with athletes parents and school staff about schedules expectations and game day logistics including preparation and the academic progress of athletes and ensure a balance between athletics and closely with the athletic department to maintain basketball equipment and and enforce school district and league policies and available and flexible to after-school/evening/ and weekend games and/or :Prior coaching experience in basketball preferably at the high school level (head coaching experience is preferred).Strong leadership organizational and communication of basketball techniques strategies and to inspire and motivate athletes to achieve their potential on and off the Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of the season).NFHS Concussion Course Certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of the season)Compensation:Per S.T.A. contracted stipend Process:Interested candidates should submit a cover letter/resume detailing relevant coaching experience qualifications and interest in the should be submitted via email to the Athletic Director Matt Friedman at by Friday October 31 2025 or until filled.
