Job Summary

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Key Account Sales Manager to work with our team in our La Vergne TN this role youll sell print and wholesale distribution services to existing and prospective book publishing accounts and clients in the content business.  You will develop selling and service relationships throughout all levels of the Publishers organization.  Youll also develop and forecast sales targets and appropriately manage expenses within your account base.  In addition you will seek out and become comfortable with conference speaking web-based presentations and other networking and selling activities.  Your job will include creating meaningful deals with large accounts.  Youll assume a role of industry leader providing thought leadership to help soft sell into large strategic publishers. You will effectively work with internal and external stakeholders to meet sales and growth targets.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or year-for-year experience
  • 5 years experience in book publishing or printing

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working for a Christian Publisher
  • Experience working for an academic publisher
  • Proven success in book sales or strong aptitude to learn
  • Strategic thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and grows the pipeline of potential ICG accounts: identifying new opportunities while growing sales to existing accounts.
  • Leads strategic discussions with publishers regarding the publishers current and future print on demand global fulfillment distribution and sales needs for all Ingram products. 
  • Develops and delivers solution-based proposals that address the needs of the publishers through Ingrams current print offerings or the development of new offerings using Ingrams core competencies.
  • Provides thorough reporting on the state of the accounts to include current results against projections opportunities with current and prospective clients market challenges and suggested resolutions on a continuous basis and through monthly business development meetings.
  • Works with sales teams to prioritize opportunities within existing accounts to maximize quick wins and long-term growth potential within accounts.
  • Represents Ingram Content Group and its expertise in the marketplace via conferences presentations speaking engagements and association involvement.
  • Conducts periodic business reviews with each publisher highlighting their entire relationship with Ingram Content Group.
  • Meets or exceeds budget goals.

Hiring Salary Range: $72895k - $92168k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicants education experience knowledge skills and abilities geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
