The Operations/Facilities Assistants key areas of responsibility include:
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager the Facilities Assistant provides general maintenance support for facilities at various St. Joseph Center sites.
Essential Duties:
- Responds to work orders and facility requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Completes minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Assembles equipment and furnishings and helps with the construction of small projects.
- Fills in for pick-up and delivery team members.
- Loads and unloads items at multiple St. Joseph sites.
- Supports security staff as directed.
- Assists Security and Operations staff with site-related emergencies.
- Provides staff support for special events.
- Oversee timely maintenance of agency vehicles and provides minor mechanical repairs when appropriate.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Qualifications :
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
- Must have the ability to communicate with and relate to a diverse group of people including clients community and other staff.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Must have basic knowledge of plumbing carpentry painting and other building maintenance tasks.
- Must be able to use power and hand tools.
- Must have basic diagnostic and minor repair knowledge of auto mechanics.
- Ability to work flexible hours including some early mornings and evenings.
Experience:
- Two years of experience in building maintenance required.

- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel and Outlook) and widely supported internet browsers.
Certificates Licenses and Registrations:
Travel Requirements:
- Access to reliable transportation.
