& Cloud Microservices Developer with GraphQL and API Security Expertise

Synechron is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Developer to design develop and maintain scalable high-performing server-side applications and microservices. This role is critical in building resilient backend systems that support core financial and enterprise operations. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in modern development practices and cloud technologies to deliver solutions that meet business objectives improve system reliability and enhance user experiences.

Software Requirements

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in (latest LTS version preferred) with extensive experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript (minimum 1 year hands-on experience)

• Experience with database management including relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB)

• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools like Jenkins GitLab or equivalent

• Experience integrating with API gateways (e.g. 3Scale or similar platforms)

• Hands-on experience with security protocols including OAuth2 JWT and implementing token-based authentication

• Knowledge of message brokers and streaming platforms such as Kafka AWS SNS/SQS or Azure Service Bus

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with GraphQL APIs

• Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda Azure Functions)

Overall Responsibilities

• Design develop and optimize scalable secure and maintainable backend services and APIs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers architects and frontend developers to deliver robust solutions

• Establish and enforce best practices for coding testing and deployment including security standards

• Implement and manage containerized environments and automate deployment processes

• Troubleshoot system issues analyze performance metrics and proactively resolve bottlenecks

• Contribute to technical documentation system architecture designs and coding standards

• Keep current with emerging technologies and industry best practices applying relevant innovations to improve solutions

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in backend development with and JavaScript/TypeScript

• Proven track record of designing and deploying scalable microservices architectures

• Experience working with containerized deployments and cloud infrastructure especially AWS or Azure

• Demonstrated expertise in API development security and troubleshooting in distributed systems

• Domain experience in finance banking or fintech environments is a plus but not mandatory; alternative experience in enterprise or large-scale systems is acceptable

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and extend backend microservices and APIs to support various business functions

• Participate in Agile planning meetings stand-ups retrospectives and cross-team collaborations

• Write clean efficient and secure code along with thorough documentation and API specifications

• Monitor application performance identify issues and implement corrective actions promptly

• Automate deployment processes and manage containerized environments for continuous delivery

• Conduct security reviews implement token-based authentication and uphold data integrity

• Engage in peer code reviews technical discussions and knowledge sharing activities

• Work proactively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related discipline; industry experience can supplement formal education

• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms API security or DevOps practices are advantageous
