Our Public & Alternative Investments Data Platforms team integrates diverse vendor data sources builds robust and scalable data pipelines and delivers strategy-neutral enriched and centrally governed data products that empower investment decision-making and research across both Public Markets and Alternative Assets.
We also develop comprehensive carbon emissions datasets that help advance the Funds commitment to sustainable investing enabling the integration of environmental insights into portfolio analysis and decision-making.
As a Data Engineer you will assist in developing constructing testing and maintaining Enterprise Data systems. You will contribute to ensuring engineering excellence and continuous improvement within your team. Working closely with senior engineers you will apply various data engineering techniques to support the organizations data initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of Enterprise Data Products data quality and reliability.
Accountabilities:
- Support with the design and implementation of scalable and robust Enterprise Data Products using Data Foundation to ensure smooth data flow and minimal latency.
- Provide on-call support for production systems and resolve any data-related issues. Help monitor and optimize data pipelines to enhance performance and reliability maturing operational runbooks and triaging incidents as they arise to maintain uninterrupted data processing.
- Collaborate with data product owners and other stakeholders to optimize data systems and uphold data security quality and governance practices.
- Engage in knowledge sharing activities such as code reviews and documentation updates to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization.
- Perform detailed analysis of both structured and unstructured datasets using the latest technology.
Qualifications :
- Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field (e.g. Engineering Computer Science).
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with Big Data including change data capture. data quality data lineage etc.
- Solid programming skills with professional programming experience in AWS Data & Analytics context (EMR Glue Lakeformation Airflow PySpark Trino Hudi Iceberg)
- AWS Certified Data & Analytics Speciality
