As a DevOps Engineer youll work in sprints to support the development deployment and optimisation of integration solutions across the Universitys digital platforms. Working with technologies such as MuleSoft AWS and Microsoft Fabric youll help build secure scalable and reliable integrations that enable research education and community engagement.

This role reports to the Chief Digital Officer as part of Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) youll contribute to a team that is delivering cutting-edge cost-effective digital services and positioning itself as a trusted integrator broker and innovator in line with the Universitys New Futures Strategic Plan.

What youll do:

  • Work in agile sprints to develop and deploy integration solutions using MuleSoft AWS and related toolsets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support and enhance platform pipelines and CI/CD practices for integration projects.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues enhance performance and contribute to monitoring and reporting improvements.
  • Help build and maintain reusable APIs automations and integration patterns.
  • Share knowledge and support junior team members.
  • Ensure integration solutions meet security operability and compliance standards.
  • Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality consistent integration outcomes.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and agile ways of working.

What were looking for

  • Strong technical expertise in programming system integration or database administration.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines monitoring and alerting mechanisms and automation.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps best practices and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently under broad direction.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders and building effective working relationships.
  • Awareness of contemporary cybersecurity practices and commitment to secure high-quality delivery.

This full-time position is a fixed term until November 2026 role at a HEW 6 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.
