The NYC Department of Design and Construction Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Engineering Services Specifications team.

Under the supervision of the Director the successful candidate will evaluate the appropriate and most cost-effective foundation support system and the bearing capacity of shallow and deep foundations. Other key responsibilities include performing geotechnical studies/projects in subsurface investigations; soil/foundation engineering; pile analysis and design; retaining walls; bridge structures; settlement analysis; lateral earth pressures; and slope stability.

Additionally the Geotechnical Engineer will perform forensic engineering; site investigations; write
reports; and provide geotechnical engineering support during construction.

ADM ENGINEER (NON MGRL) - 1001A


Qualifications :

1. A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.

2. Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering civil engineering electrical engineering environmental engineering mechanical engineering or plan examining work at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive managerial or administrative capacity.
