The Job
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at IZAKAYA youll work closely with our General Manager supporting the day-to-day operations and helping us maintain our high standards of service. Your role will include assisting with rostering training and recruitment as well as providing leadership to the team ensuring a smooth and efficient service while maintaining the vibrant dynamic atmosphere were known for. This is a key role where youll contribute to shaping a team thats passionate dedicated and always striving for excellence in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant.

• Assist in the management of team rosters ensuring proper staffing levels and timely shifts.

• Help recruit train and develop new team members to uphold IZAKAYAs standards.

• Lead inspire and motivate the team ensuring high morale and consistent performance.

• Maintain communication between kitchen bar and service staff to ensure seamless service.

• Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences handling any concerns or issues that arise.

• Monitor and support the teams adherence to safety cleanliness and operational procedures.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

• A passion for excellent customer service and a commitment to high-quality standards.

• A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to handle challenges and multitask effectively.

• Must be fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

• Based in Amsterdam or nearby (flexible with commuting).
