Job Summary
Are you a Master level licensed Counselor/Social Worker looking for a new opportunity CHC Addiction Services is looking for new members to join our team!
CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat inspire support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction.
We are looking for Counselors/Therapists who will join us in our mission of helping those in our community and are specifically looking for a Womens Treatment Counselor to join our Womens Residential Team.
Womens Residential Counselors provide direct service to our clients at our Touchstone location through both individual and group counseling. Counselors provide individual and group counseling by evaluating assessments for identified patients and their family members and based on findings facilitating a timely and appropriate treatment plan and coordinating said plan with available agency services and the will provide your own private office quality supervision and ongoing training and CEUs.

- Is Full time 40 hours a week generally Monday-Friday but may include some weekends/evenings. Some positions may start as early as 5:30am.
- Pays a Competitive salary based on license

Duties Include:
- Interview patients
- Coordinate assessment
- Summarize and evaluate problem areas and patient strengths
- Develop treatment plans
- Complete appropriate case management and review as per agency procedures
- Provide individual group and or family counseling to assigned cases in accordance with the policies and procedures of CHC and the Code of Ethics
- Completing thorough and concise documentation of each step of the patients treatment
- Participate and present patient cases weekly in clinical supervision meetings and seek additional professional consultation as needed..
To be eligible for a Counseling/Therapist position you will need to:
- Have a Masters Degree
- Hold an active Ohio license to counsel as an LPC LPCC LSW LISW LCDC III and/or LICDC
- Preferably have at least one year of clinical experience treating patients with substance use disorders
