About the role

Join Zinfra as a Hydrovac Operator and play a vital role in safely exposing underground utilities using state-of-the-art hydro excavation equipment. This hands-on role supports essential infrastructure projects across our communities and contributes to the expansion of our networks in the ACT and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Operate hydrovac trucks to perform non-destructive excavation
  • Safely expose underground utilities including pipes and cables
  • Support mains and service laying activities as required
  • Conduct site assessments and set up safe work zones
  • Communicate with builders plumbers third parties and property owners
  • Ensure compliance with safety environmental and construction standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using systems like Upvise

About You

Youre a safety-conscious operator with a strong work ethic and a passion for working outdoors. You thrive in physically active roles and enjoy being part of a team that contributes to essential infrastructure projects. You take pride in doing things the right way safely efficiently and with attention to detail. Whether youre operating heavy machinery or communicating with stakeholders on-site you bring professionalism reliability and a commitment to high standards.

  • Valid medium or heavy rigid drivers license
  • Experience operating hydrovac or similar excavation equipment
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments and field settings
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
