Job Summary
STV currently has an opening in our Charlotte NC offices for a Work Zone Traffic Control Technician for our Transportation division.
This role also offers the opportunity to function as a resource in support of our other offices and have a direct impact on the improvement of infrastructure nationally. You have the chance for upward mobility while building your own team working on Design/Build and Design/Build/Build projects of all sizes and complexities. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who desires to work in a team-environment displays confidence and possesses a solid understanding of traffic management principles.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Develop traffic control plans for various work zones
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with design specifications
Conduct site evaluations and assessments
Provide technical expertise and guidance on traffic control issues
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) development and review (Design work zone traffic control)
Prepare and participate in presentations to the project team
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Familiarity with traffic control design and regulations
Skills & Abilities:
Background in Work Zone Traffic Control
The ability to balance multiple concurrent assignments
MicroStation
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering or Associates degree in civil engineering technology
2-6 years relevant experience
Previous experience in traffic control design and project management
