Job Title:Tax Supervisor
Reports To:Tax Manager Partners

Your Role:
The Tax team in Westwood is hiring a Tax Supervisor to join our dynamic group of tax professionals. This selected candidate is responsible for preparing complex tax returns and reviewing simple to moderately complex returns prepared by staff. This role ensures compliance with federal state and local tax regulations supervises tax staff and assists in implementing effective tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
What will you do:
- Prepare complex individual partnership corporate trust & estate tax returns including multi-state and foreign filings.
- Review simple to moderate level tax returns prepared by staff.
- Review tax projections and quarterly estimates.
- Supervise train and mentor tax staff; provide guidance and technical support throughout the tax preparation process.
- Review client meeting packages.
- Respond to inquiries and audit requests from tax authorities.
- Research and resolve complex tax issues preparing written analyses and documentation to support tax positions.
- Communicate with Partners and Business Mangers on client related matters.
- Attend Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and internal trainings.

- Standing walking crouching and regular lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands and reaching with hands and arms.
- Regularly talking hearing seeing and sitting.
- Moderate to loud noise level.
- Risk of electrical shock.
Salary Range:The salary range for this role is$115000 - $160000and represents the firms good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon several factors including but not limited to the candidates relevant experience qualifications and location.
