The Infusion Center Unit Clerk is a patient facing position designed to support the of healthcare providers within the Infusion Center. Serves as the units centralized focus for scheduling administrations and communication during assigned shift. Maintains clerical organization within the unit. Participates in a safe patient-centered care environment with quality patient care delivery efficient patient flow and effective communication with the healthcare team. Works closely with the Clinical Director Charge Nurse Financial Counselor Schedulers and other members of the nursing team to trouble-shoot resolve problems and provide administrative support and triage calls. Infusion Center Unit Clerk will work directly with clinic staff and patients to provide information and complete documentation to assure quality of care. Maintains positive relationships with patients family members and other visitors and fellow employees.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of computers and computerized practice management systems and other computerized systems (Microsoft office programs and electronic health records systems).
- Demonstrates good telephone management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks with interruption and able to multi-task
- Critical thinking the ability to identify problems good solving skills to resolve them in a timely manner
- Use of customer service principles and practices
- Good English communication skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent grammar punctuation proofreading editing and composition skills
- Knowledge of medical/surgical terminology and procedures
- Knowledge of ICD-10 CM and CPT coding systems.
- Demonstrates good communication skills bilingual helpful.
