Hospital Sales Specialist Madrid
IQVIA is hiring a Hospital Sales Specialist to lead biosimilar adoption across Central Spain building strong relationships with key hospital stakeholders.
About the role:
As a Hospital Sales Specialist youll help grow our partners biosimilar portfolio in Central Spain. Youll work directly with high-cost drug pharmacists clinicians and hospital managers to drive product uptake and expand market reach. Your experience in account management contract negotiation and sales strategy will be key to hitting business goals.
Youll team up with colleagues to make sure decision-makers have the insights they need to support prescribing and adoption. Youll also track market trendslike competitor activity treatment patterns and prescribing criteriato help shape strategy. A big part of this role is positioning our biopharma client as a trusted name in biosimilars and biologics using strong relationships and smart planning to grow sales and market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving Commercial Activities: Manage commercial activities within your specialist area across the North West region.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with hospital stakeholders to promote the uptake of our partners biosimilar products.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure decision-makers have all necessary information for maximal adoption and prescribing.
- Market Positioning: Establish our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted partner in the biosimilars/biologics market.
- Data Collection: Gather and report relevant information such as competitor data treatment patterns and product prescribing criteria.
- Sales Growth: Drive the achievement of sales and market share growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Educational background in Life Sciences (e.g. Pharmacy Biomedical Medical and Public Health) or a Masters/Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Health Economics or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager with at least 3-5 years in a pharmaceutical sales role dealing with specialist customer groups at the hospital level
- Strong background in hospital pharmacy negotiations
- Expertise in rheumatoid treatments and biosimilars
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
- Willingness to travel within the Central region
- Full driving license essential
