Job Summary

Island Health is hiring Pharmacists to join Pharmacy teams across the Vancouver Island region. Multiple openings are available including Clinical and Staff Pharmacist roles with full time part time casual and temporary positions available.

**Signing bonuses!**
- Provincial Rural Retention Incentives: Up to $2000 paid to employees at the end of quarter based on productive hours worked ($8000 annual max).
- Rural Remote Recruitment Incentives: Up to $20000 signing bonus with 24 months Return of Service for eligible vacancies employees and communities.
- Recruitment Incentives for Difficult to Fill Vacancies: Up to $15000 signing bonus with 24 months Return of Service for eligible vacancies employees and communities.
- Relocation: Relocation assistance of up to $5000 may be available to eligible candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
To join our team you will have:
- Licensed by or eligible for licensing by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (COPBC).
- Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Residency or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Skills And Abilities
Please note skills and abilities will vary by location.
- Ability to identify and resolve drug therapy problems.
- Ability to apply clinical knowledge and make sound decisions with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians other health practitioners as well as patients and family members.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the Employers primary language of business both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to be self-directed to organize and prioritize workload and to complete tasks with accuracy precision and dependability.
- Ability to teach.
- Ability to operate related equipment including utilizing a variety of standard computerized office software applications.
- Ability to physically and emotionally carry out the duties of the position.
