Description
GDI delivers mission-critical applications for top-tier enterprises around the world for the US and Canadian Federal Governments. Our cloud offers unmatched hyper-scale; multi-tenant services deployed in more than 50 regions worldwide. GDI is expanding its mission beyond the traditional boundaries of public cloud to include dedicated hybrid and multi-cloud edge computing and more.
GDIs mission is to support customer choice transparency and value when it comes to cloud infrastructure. Were embarking on ambitious new initiatives such as building innovative platforms high-performance primitives frameworks to support GDI developers and a new container runtime that will allow us to run the full variety of GDI services including our most demanding high-performance high-availability offerings.
Were also driving new initiatives such as providing canonical implementations of core components for data planes through a data plane runtime framework developing a remote persistent storage solution with latency and performance comparable to that of a local NVMe drive and developing standards and tools to identify critical performance improvements across GDI data planes. Our goal is to enhance engineering efficiency by concentrating our expertise on building low-level systems with high performance that can be adopted by our core cloud services across GDI.
We are growing quickly still at an early stage and working on ambitious new initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative is needed in resolving problems and making recommendations
  • Handles details of a highly confidential and critical nature
  • Collects and prepares sensitive information for use in discussions and meetings with the organizations staff and external individuals
  • Normally does not receive work instructions; may determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise other administrative employees
  • Proficient in desktop applications such as MS Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint messaging tools etc.
  • Analyzes problems determines approach compiles and analyzes data in the preparation of reports and/or recommendations
  • May analyze basic spreadsheet models and track projects
  • Contacts company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports
  • Spends time on special projects which may include training new hires on policies and procedures project coordination and logistics documentation and collateral coordination liaison to Human Resources and creation of Senior Administrative Assistant administration manuals
  • May participate in operational task forces
  • Provides administrative/clerical support to a function group or customer base
  • Supports GDI executive levels up to EVP
  • Spends more than 90% of time providing administrative support to relieve managers and staff of administrative and clerical details
  • Spends no more than 10% of time on special projects
  • Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative is needed in resolving problems and making recommendations
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years executive and/or office management experience required
  • Anticipating and solving problems proactively is essential
  • Calendar management is necessary
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet applications
  • Proficient in desktop applications such as MS Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint messaging tools etc.
  • Willingness and ability to get a US Government issued security clearance if needed
BA/BS degree or equivalent

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79100 to $158200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
