Description

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Part-Time Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team at Samuel Family Cardiology in Spring TX.

Responsibilities:

Explains testing procedures to patients and obtains consent form.
Attaches electrodes to patients arms legs and chest area
Starts treadmill at speed directed by physician.
Starts electrocardiograph and records data such as angle and speed of treadmill patients indications of pain and measurements of blood pressure.
Informs the physician of wave abnormalities on electrocardiogram.
Stands alongside patient during test to lend support if necessary.
Removes recorder strip printout from machine upon conclusion of test to obtain permanent record of test.
Edits and mounts representative samples of tracings for patients record indicating time of test measurement and bodily factors that could have affected recording.
Cleans adjusts and performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Assists in the training of new personnel.
Maintains accurate inventory of materials and supplies.
Verifies patient appointments the day before to ensure use of isotope.
Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing
Escorts patients to check-out.
Participates in attaining insurance precertification for tests
Preforms Medical Assistant duties as needed.
Performs all other duties as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical Assistant Certification is required.
At least one year of practical experience
Current CPR certification.
Must have reliable transportation.
