We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team at the Alzheimers Care Center in this role youll have the opportunity to provide meaningful person-centered care to individuals living with Alzheimers and related dementias supporting both their physical and emotional well-being.

Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Alzheimers Care Center Gardiner
Schedule: Per diem

Shift: Variable

What Youll Do:

  • Performs basic patient care activities of daily living as delegated and supervised by an RN.
  • Ensures the social emotional and recreational well-being of residents by participating in 1:1 and group activity-focused care programs in cooperation with the Director of Activities.
  • Assists patients with meeting their emotional physical and spiritual needs.
  • Greets patients and visitors. Answers screens and routes telephone calls.
  • Calls codes pages and overhead announcements as requested
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical mental and emotional conditions to the nursing staff
  • Assists with keeping unit and patient rooms stocked clean and orderly

What You Bring:

  • Valid State of Maine CNA certification or ability to obtain one within 120 days of hire
  • A genuine passion for caring for older adults and individuals with memory loss
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
