SECURITY GUARD - PERMANENT PART-TIME OVERNIGHT POSITION

Location: Winnipeg

We have the following shifts available IMMEDIATELY:

Friday and Saturday 2200 to 0600 (10:00 pm to 6:00 am)

Opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

MUST HAVE CURRENT VALID SECURITY LICENSE FIRST AID and CPR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site providing for the security and safety of client property assets and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel visitors and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions hazards unlocked doors security violations blocked entrances and exits mechanical problems and unauthorized persons.
• Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents emergencies or security investigations.
• Responds to incidents of fire medical emergency bomb threat flooding water discharge elevator emergency hazardous materials inclement weather and other incidents.
• Prepares logs and reports as required.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Uses computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.

• Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented employee might not be required to perform all functions listed. Additional duties may be assigned and functions may be modified according to business necessity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have valid provincial Security Guard License

• Must have valid First Aid and CPR certifications

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills

• Reliable means of transportation.

• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ableto write routine correspondence including logs and reports

• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.

• Able to walk stand and conduct patrols
