Our NSW & ACT Integrated Transport and Mobility (ITM) Practice is growing and we are seeking an experienced Transport Planner/ traffic engineer (510 years experience) to join our Sydney team.

The role

You will work on a mix of Transport Impact Assessments (TIA) strategic transport planning and transport advisory projects for major developments and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with direct client exposure and clear pathways to senior and leadership opportunities.

You will:

  • Lead and deliver Transport Impact Assessments for complex development and infrastructure projects
  • Contribute to strategic transport planning active transport and multimodal access studies
  • Support or manage projects end-to-end including scope programme budget and risk
  • Engage directly with clients approval authorities and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Aurecon
  • Contribute to winning work and growing trusted client relationships

What were looking for

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with 510 years experience in transport planning/ traffic engineering
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing Transport Impact Assessments
  • Sound technical judgement and confidence working with data modelling outputs and policy frameworks
  • Experience supporting or leading project delivery
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring others
