Job Summary/Description:

KMOV is looking for a Lifestyles Show Assistant. This is a part-time position with typical hours of Noon 4 pm Monday-Friday (approximately 20 hours per week).
The Lifestyles Show Assistant works with the Producers of My St. Louis LIVE! to greet and coordinate guests on the show post stories to digital media and perform various other duties as assigned. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both live television production and digital media creation. You will be an integral part of a dynamic local lifestyle show and will develop marketable skills that bridge traditional broadcasting and new media.

The Lifestyles Show Assistant will be the first point of contact with our guests and plays a key part in our live broadcast and digital content creation. The ideal candidate is someone who is warm personable and excellent with people. You must thrive in a fast-paced live television environment be highly organized and be eager to learn and use digital production skills. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both live television production and digital media creation. You will be an integral part of a dynamic local lifestyle show and will develop marketable skills that bridge traditional broadcasting and new media.

Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Warmly greeting and welcoming all guests arriving for the My St. Louis Live 3 pm show.
Mic up guests using professional audio equipment
Serve as a friendly guide for guests ensuring they are comfortable and ready for their segment.
Learn and execute the process of uploading client-provided video content.
Develop and use skills in writing compelling copy for digital platforms
Produce digital reels and short-form video content for social media.
Assist the production team with various other tasks as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

Motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented and organized
Excellent people skills are a key requirement. Must be outgoing empathetic and professional in dealing with clients and team members.
Ability to adapt quickly and maintain composure in a live fast-paced environment.
Reliability and punctuality are required
Basic computer literacy
Good writing skills
Experience with video editing or social media content creation tools is a plus
Must be a team player willing to do what it takes to help make the show successful
