The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support greeting and rooming patients documenting vitals assisting providers performing diagnostics and supporting essential clinic workflows.
Greet/check in patients & escort to exam rooms
Record vitals history & chief complaint
Assist provider during exams & procedures
Perform phlebotomy EKGs specimen collection & CLIA-waived tests
Administer medications with provider authorization
Change dressings remove sutures apply bandages
Sterilize instruments & maintain clinical supplies
Follow OSHA infection control & safety guidelines
Provide patient education
Answer phones & schedule appointments
Manage referrals & maintain records
Support prescription renewals
Process charge tickets & documentation
Maintain inventory & order supplies
Follow HIPAA confidentiality standards
Medical Assistant program graduate (required)
CMA Certification (preferred)
Current BLS (required)
CA Phlebotomy License (preferred)
Proficiency with Windows Excel Outlook & clinical software
Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving
Excellent communication
Professional accurate & patient-centered
