RE Teacher (ECT Welcome) – Warwickshire – September 2026

The Opportunity
A successful and values-driven secondary school in Warwickshire is seeking a motivated Religious Education Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from September 2026 or earlier if available. This full-time permanent position is ideal for an Early Career Teacher who is eager to begin their professional journey in a nurturing well-structured environment. You will teach RE across Key Stages 3 to 5 and play an active role in shaping a curriculum that encourages curiosity debate and respect.

What Were Looking For
We welcome applications from teachers who:

• Hold QTS PGCE or are currently completing teacher training
• Have strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies Philosophy or Ethics
• Can teach engaging and reflective lessons at GCSE and ideally A-Level
• Are enthusiastic about fostering discussion empathy and understanding
• Value collaboration self-improvement and contributing to school life

Experience in enrichment or community projects linked to faith ethics or philosophy would be an advantage but is not essential. Enthusiasm commitment and potential are what matter most.

The Role in More Detail
You will plan and deliver RE lessons that promote independent thinking and respect for diversity. Students will explore moral questions faith traditions and philosophical inquiry developing understanding and empathy through discussion and reflection. You will take responsibility for assessing student progress and helping learners to meet and exceed expectations.

As part of the department you will contribute to trips clubs and projects such as ethics debates interfaith workshops and local community partnerships. The role also includes opportunities to lead elements of curriculum development or take on small pastoral responsibilities as you gain experience.
