Art Teacher (ECT Welcome) – Worcester – January 2026

The Opportunity
A forward-looking 1118 academy in the Worcester area is looking to appoint an Art Teacher to join its creative faculty from January 2026. This full-time permanent role is ideally suited to an Early Career Teacher who wants to develop in a supportive ambitious environment. Youll teach Art across Key Stages 35 (GCSE and A-Level) contributing to a curriculum that encourages visual thinking experimentation and personal growth.

What Were Looking For
We welcome applications from teachers who:

• Hold QTS PGCE or are completing their training this academic year
• Have strong subject knowledge in Art and are confident teaching GCSE (and ideally A-Level)
• Can design lessons that combine technique creativity and critical reflection
• Use assessment and feedback to guide progression and support individual strengths
• Are collaborative open to new ideas and committed to contributing to a creative department

Experience running exhibitions community art projects or cross-media work (digital art photography sculpture) would be a plus but enthusiasm and potential are key.

The Role in More Detail
You will design and deliver Art lessons across the age range guiding students through media exploration observational work conceptual projects and portfolio development. Youll manage and support students through GCSE and A-Level coursework helping them to refine and present their personal investigations.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Art and other creative subjects for exhibitions displays cross-curricular projects gallery visits and community partnerships. There will also be opportunities to lead after-school clubs run workshops and contribute to whole-school art events and displays.
