Job Description:
The position at a glance
- The Data & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with the Data & Reporting Analysts and their Compliance Business Partners to develop and deliver clear concise and insightful reports/analysis with clear messaging and calls to action for the Banks Senior Leadership Board of Directors and External Regulators.
- The Data & Reporting Analyst will also be responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities to strengthen and streamline the process to capture aggregate analyze and report on both qualitative and quantitative data across the Compliance Organization and its partners.
In detail
- Support the life cycle process for the CUSO/IHC/Americas Compliance policies procedures and standards documents framework including:

Partner with Compliance Data and Analytics Analysts and SMEs to develop insightful reports that effectively convey calls to action to Compliance Management and Boards/Committees.

Assist with the completion of data collection and/or Group-wide reporting efforts and assist with responding to requests for information by Group stakeholders
-
Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to identify trend and/or emerging risks and provide impactful insights to senior management.

Build and enhance relationships within Compliance and Line of Business Partners and become a trusted advisor.

Work with both Financial Security (BSA/AML Sanctions Anti-Bribery & Corruption) and Non-Financial Security (Protecting the Interest of Clients Professional Ethics Market Integrity Privacy etc.) SMEs to respond to Data & Reporting Analyst and Management questions

Establish maintain and continuously improve processes procedures and standards governing the creation distribution and management of Compliance Reporting provided to Senior Management and Boards/Committees.

Develop and enhance systems in order to efficiently manage workflow for Compliance Reporting activities and special projects.
-
Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the repository of data elements used in ongoing Compliance reporting to various audiences.

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

3-5 years prior relevant experience in the Financial Services Legal Compliance/Risk/Audit Management and/or Management Strategy Consulting Industries.

Proven track record of small to medium size projects and/or initiatives that deliver significant benefits to their employer and/or customers.
-
Bilingual (in Canadas two main languages).
-
BA or BS degree required.
-
Broad knowledge of financial products and services across the banking sector
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills including developing executive level presentation materials and regulatory related materials
-
Experience in reviewing diverse data and writing analyses and commentary with the ability to differentiate between need to know and nice to know
-
Keen eye for design and understanding of layout flows and infographics to ensure effective distribution of information to broad audiences
-
Outstanding problem-solving root cause identification and decision-making skills to rapidly assess complex situations and provide leadership with options on how to address the situation
-
Excellent execution skills with the ability to work successfully under demanding deadlines
-
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and Power and SharePoint products (advanced SharePoint Site Management experience is a plus)

Strong Data Analysis skills leveraging Excel and Visual Analytics Tools (VBA Macro Power BI Tableau experience is a plus)
-
Strong interpersonal leadership and relationship management skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with Compliance Business Partners and External Partners
