Position: Application Architect

Location: Richmond VA (Hybrid/Open to remote for Top Notch candidates)

Duration: Long term contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to design develop and implement scalable enterprise-level full-stack solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of architecture design principles modern development frameworks and emerging technologies. This role requires an innovative thinker who can deliver common reusable solutions across multiple enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect design and implement scalable and secure enterprise applications.
Define and enforce best practices standards and patterns across the application landscape.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers business analysts and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies tools and frameworks into enterprise systems.
Design APIs microservices and integrations to ensure interoperability across systems.
Drive architecture reviews and provide technical guidance during development.
Create technical documentation system design diagrams and architectural blueprints.
Ensure scalability performance and reliability of application platforms.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
8 years of experience in software/application development with 3 years in architecture or solution design.
Strong proficiency in full-stack development (front-end back-end database APIs).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and API design.
Proficiency in modern frameworks such as Angular React or .
Strong understanding of DevOps tools CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
Excellent communication leadership and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with enterprise integration tools and middleware.
Familiarity with data modeling ETL processes and data architecture.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Architect Expert or similar
