Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum MD is seeking a Test Engineer to support on-site 1st 2nd and 3rd shift test bench operations for the Assembly Integration and Test (AI&T) of a production S pace Payload program.
Responsibilities include executing test scripts for the verification of Software Hardware and System requirements for applications in Space. Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) systems especially RADAR SIGINT or COMMS; programming and scripting skills; and working knowledge of RF test equipment (Signal Generators Spectrum Analyzers Oscilloscopes Power Meters etc.) is desired.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Math); or HS diploma with at least 4 years of relevant military experience with sensor systems ideally RADAR integration and test or operation and maintenance or military control room console operator; or defense industry work experience with sensor systems ideally RADAR integration and test or operation and maintenance
Willingness to work dedicated 1st 2nd or 3rd shift for up to a year (1st shift is 5 AM - 1 PM Mon - Fri; 2nd shift is 1 PM - 9 PM Mon -Fri; 3rd shift is 9 PM - 5 AM Sun night - Fri morning)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with RADAR and/or ESA (Electronically Scanned Array) integration and test
Experience with Space Payload or Space Vehicle (Satellite) integration and test in a clean room environment
Programming in C or MATLAB for understanding and editing/improving existing code
Scripting in Python or Tcl for understanding and editing/improving existing scripts
Experience with Confluence Jira and Bitbucket
