Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Data Platform Engineer with strong experience in the banking domain to design build and optimize scalable cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data engineering concepts modern cloud data platforms and DevOps practices to support enterprise-level data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale data platforms.

Build and optimize data lakes and data warehouse solutions using cloud technologies.

Work extensively on Databricks (preferred) Snowflake or Amazon Redshift for data processing and analytics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration performance and governance.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to streamline deployment and operations.

Apply best practices in data security quality and performance optimization.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex data platform issues efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

10 years of overall IT experience with strong banking domain exposure.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure AWS or Google Cloud.

Strong expertise in Databricks architecture - including clusters jobs notebooks and workspaces.

Experience with data warehousing data lakes and ETL development.

Proficiency in Python Java or Scala for data processing and automation.

Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipeline automation.

Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Snowflake Redshift or other advanced cloud data platforms.

Knowledge of data governance security frameworks and compliance standards in the banking sector.

Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
