Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in PostgreSQL and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in database administration performance tuning automation and migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL within large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain PostgreSQL and Oracle databases in production and development environments.
Design implement and support PostgreSQL database architectures for high availability scalability and security.
Perform database backup recovery replication and monitoring using PostgreSQL management platforms.
Develop and maintain Bash and Shell scripts for automation and maintenance tasks.
Plan and execute database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL including schema data and PL/SQL to PL/pgSQL conversions.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database performance and ensure system reliability.
Troubleshoot complex issues ensuring minimal downtime and zero defects in production.

Must-Have Skills

Expert-level experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in large enterprise environments.
Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL administration monitoring and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL management platforms and backup/recovery strategies.
Proficient in Linux Bash and Shell scripting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience as an Oracle DBA with strong Oracle database fundamentals.
Proven experience in migrating Oracle databases to PostgreSQL.
Experience converting PL/SQL code to PL/pgSQL.
Exposure to Java Full Stack Development environments.

Desired Profile
