Schedule: Between AU and UK times zones or as required by the client

Job Description for Product Engineer (Client-Facing)

Responsibilities as Product Engineer:

Join client discovery and feedback calls to uncover real business problems

Translate insurance and compliance requirements into scalable tech solutions

Design build and ship features across the stack:

- Frontend: React 19 Tailwind Ant Design TanStack Router/Query

- Backend: Node Fastify Prisma 6 tRPC PostgreSQL Redis BullMQ

Maintain strict type safety using Zod TypeScript (strict mode) and CI tooling

Model data using Prisma migrations and manage schema evolution

Build secure multitenant APIs and infrastructure-level patterns

Uphold high coding standards using ESLint 9 Vitest Playwright

Work in a modern monorepo environment (pnpm shared types etc.)

Qualifications as Product Engineer:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or similar

Strong experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript ecosystems

Full-stack expertise with React (v18) Tailwind Ant Design and Node/Fastify

Deep understanding of PostgreSQL Redis Prisma ORM and tRPC

Passion for creating elegant type-safe testable and scalable solutions

Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with clients

Strong problem-solving mindset enjoys ambiguity and figuring things out

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

Experience with AI features (e.g. OpenAI or Google Generative SDKs)

Knowledge of observability tools (Sentry logs metrics)

Background in Stripe SendGrid or secure OAuth/OIDC flows

Experience migrating from GraphQL to tRPC

Type-driven design (ts-pattern advanced generics schema-first workflows)

Familiarity with monorepos (pnpm workspaces) and environment-driven configs
