Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain planning and scheduling systems.
Prepare comprehensive schedules including project objectives master project timelines and manpower allocation plans.
Monitor project progress against established schedules and produce detailed man-hour reports.
Identify variances and recommend effective corrective actions to management to keep projects on track.
Ensure clear communication of schedule expectations and updates to all stakeholders.
- Route planning and Route and schedule loads within agreed customer SLA
- Plan and optimize route on Alto
- Provide support for the operational team and ensure optimal customer service
- Plan efficient and safe routes for drivers whilst still ensuring the company remains within government legislation and within time deadlines
- Supply information to Unitrans customer services representative Senior Planner and management regarding sales orders and order status
- Log errors and track these to resolve timeously.
- Effectively communicate daily delivery schedule to Operations Teams Nationally
- Daily and hourly reporting on the plan breakdowns delays etc.
- Investigate problem orders and provide status updates on Alto and to customer
- Geo-code new customers on Alto / Mix Telematics using correct geographical placement to ensure data integrity
- Determine the load volume and tonnage to enable maximum utilization.
- Liaise with Maintenance Coordinator to plan and schedule vehicle maintenance to reduce downtime
- Maximize fleet availability
Minimum RequirementsQualifications & Experience Required:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Road Transport and Supply Chain Management or Engineering (Degree essential).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience in a similar role: 3 years or more experience
