Trainee Cylinder Workshop Technician

About You

Youre a hands-on practical individual whos eager to learn and grow in a technical workshop environment. You may not have extensive experience yet but youre organised reliable and have a keen eye for detail. You enjoy working as part of a team take pride in doing things the right way and are motivated to build a career in a safety-focused quality-driven setting.

Youre curious proactive and ready to take on new challenges with a positive attitude. Whether its learning how to handle specialist equipment or supporting logistics operations youre keen to develop your skills and contribute to a high-performing team.

Key Requirements

• Full clean UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)
• Willingness to learn and follow technical procedures
• Good communication skills and a professional approach
• Ability to work safely and responsibly in a workshop setting
• Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office and data entry)
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Flexible approach to working hours and tasks
• Previous workshop or logistics experience is a bonus but not essential

About the Opportunity

As a Trainee Cylinder Workshop Technician youll receive full training and support to develop your skills in handling testing and preparing cylinders for dispatch. Youll work closely with experienced colleagues to learn the ropes and gradually take on more responsibility. Key Activities

• Assist with cleaning leak-testing and handling cylinders
• Learn to safely load offload and store cylinders with accurate tracking
• Support the preparation of dispatch documentation and deliveries
• Help carry out minor repairs and report maintenance needs
• Monitor certification status and assist with re-certification processes
• Maintain a clean safe and organised workshop environment
• Learn to manage spare parts stock and support efficient repairs
• Deliver excellent customer service and support client needs
• Contribute ideas for improving processes and services
• Follow all QHSE standards including ISO and COSHH requirements
