This role is part of Alcons Manufacturing function a team that designs produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.
The Operator I Warehouse and Distribution supporting our manufacturing site you will be trusted with performing a combination of manual and clerical shipping and/or receiving duties which may require the use of hand trucks forklifts and other devices as well as computers to maintain data at the Oak Grove Centre in Fort Wort TX.
In this role a typical day will include:
- Receiving incoming materials or preparing materials for shipment.
- Verifying quantity weight and conformance of materials.
- Preparing records of materials shipped & bills of lading and routing materials to their destinations.
- May layout fabricate and assemble nonstandard shipping crates and boxes and prepare parts and tooling for special shipment.
- Bringing up technical issues and systemic needs/challenges promptly.
- Requires strong attention to detail and heightened focus on quality and compliance along with strict adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report all discrepancies immediately.
- Responsible for adhering to safety policies/procedures and ensuring work areas are clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions under health safety and environmental standards.
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English
- Work hours: 1st Shift - Monday Friday; 6:00 AM CST 3:00 PM CST OR 7:00AM 4:00PM CST
- Location: Onsite

- Prior Manufacturing or Distribution Center Experience
