Position Description:
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto (250 Yonge St Toronto) and/or Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to drive the vision and delivery of digital banking initiatives in the Home Financing space. The successful candidate will bring expertise in digital product management credit risk and process and change management along with a strong understanding of strategy development in financial services.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders delivery teams and credit risk partners to define and prioritize features that improve the home financing experience for customers while ensuring compliance and risk controls are met.
.Define and own the product vision roadmap and backlog for Home Financing digital initiatives (e.g. mortgage origination refinancing pre-approvals servicing).
.Translate business goals regulatory needs and customer insights into clear product requirements and prioritized user stories.
.Collaborate with delivery teams architects risk and operations to ensure features are feasible compliant and aligned with digital strategy.
.Drive process and change management to ensure smooth adoption of new digital capabilities across business and technology teams.
.Partner with stakeholders in credit risk compliance and lending operations to balance innovation with risk and regulatory obligations.
.Measure product performance and customer impact using insights to refine strategy and backlog prioritization.
.Lead discussions with senior stakeholders influencing priorities trade-offs and investment decisions.
.Support release planning and coordinate with Release Managers to ensure smooth delivery of prioritized features.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Must have:
.58 years of Product Owner / Product Management experience in Digital Banking or Financial Services.
.Strong knowledge of home financing products (mortgages refinancing credit assessment) and associated digital journeys.
.Proven track record of driving digital product strategy process redesign and change management in complex organizations.
.Solid understanding of credit risk frameworks and how they apply in lending and home financing.
.Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFe) managing backlogs and delivering iterative product increments.
.Strong stakeholder engagement communication and influencing skills at senior levels.
.Analytical mindset with experience in using data and KPIs to drive decision-making.
Nice to Have
.Familiarity with digital self-serve platforms and omnichannel lending experiences.
.Prior experience with AI/automation in credit decisioning or digital origination.
.Professional certifications (CSPO SAFe POPM or equivalent).
