Job Description:

Manages experienced professionals lower level supervisors or managers. Often leads one or more teams or a department. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices approaches and concepts. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short- to mid-term function or business area results. Requires broad management and cross-functional leadership knowledge and mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas.

Essential Functions:

Foster a safe working environment for all employees.
Ensure daily functions of the Logistics and Planning/Scheduling groups of the FOS facility.
Represent the Scheduling and Material Planning groups on site as the senior on-site leader.
Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for team or department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results.
Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization which includes larger customers or vendors.
Responsible for improving upon existing or establishing new processes and systems using significant conceptualization reasoning and interpretation.
Inventory control and management.
Budget and allocated headcount management.
Minimal travel required.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline.
May have broad knowledge of project management.
Ability to acquire and maintain security clearance.
