Job Summary

Join us at Northwestern Medicine Catherine Gratz Griffin Lake Forest Hospital during a groundbreaking expansion aimed at elevating healthcare services for our community. This exciting initiative will significantly enhance our facilities doubling our inpatient capacity and modernizing our Emergency Department with the latest imaging technology. We are looking for passionate CT Technologists to work with cutting-edge Siemens Force scanners and play a key role in our commitment to patient care. Current Opportunities include:

  • Full Time positions available on evening shift. (Typically a Monday to Friday schedule- no weekend rotation required!)
  • Part Time weekender positions available on evening and night shift. (2 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday)
  • Casual/as needed positions. 
  • On call and Holiday rotation required for all positions

The  CT Technologist  reflects the mission vision and values of NM adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program and complies with all relevant policies procedures guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
  • Administers contrast media oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures patient history indicators exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.
  • Enters data such as type of scan slice thickness scan time and other technical data into computer.
  • Communicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety comfort.
  • Views images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
  • Performs CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.
  • Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders scheduling patients and recordkeeping.
  • Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed

Qualifications :

Required:

  • ARRT
  • IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent

Preferred:

  • ARRT registry in CT or MRI
  • 1 year experience
