Cognos Analytics Report Developer & Modeller 9 month fixed term

As an experienced BI Report Developer you will bring your skills with the Cognos Analytics Platform to ensure that the teams reporting pipeline can continue to be pushed forward. With experience in working directly with stakeholders at all levels you will be skilled at converting business requirements to technical specifications and following this through to building out new models and reports.

You will also provide operational support by troubleshooting and resolving issues with both existing reports and Framework Manager models as needed.  

This role requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen as youll work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand requirements deliver effective solutions and support them with self-service options going forward.

How youll make a difference

• Design develop and maintain advanced reports dashboards scorecards and data visualisations using IBM Cognos Analytics components.
• Maintain existing metadata models in Cognos Framework Manager accurately mapping data sources to business requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data and reporting needs transforming requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
• Maintain enhance and troubleshoot existing Cognos reports and models ensuring data integrity performance and usability.
• Train and mentor team members and business users on using Cognos Analytics functionalities.

• Proven expertise in building complex interactive reports dashboards and data modules using the Cognos Analytics v11.x or 12.x product suite.
• Deep understanding and practical experience with Cognos Framework Manager: data modelling model maintenance security implementation and publishing packages.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into effective BI solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving troubleshooting and debugging abilities for Cognos reporting and modelling issues.
• Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
