How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW


CO2 Sequestration mission description:

  • Data management of the groups sequesterable CO2 emissions.

  • Identification of accessible and competitive CO2 sinks globally

  • ranking in time and costs the different sequestration routes and geographies

  • Built-up of a knowledge pool regarding CO2 sequestration technicalities.

  • prepare RFIs Analysis and review of CO2 sinks & offers.

  • Organization of the regular exchange & update meetings with the different Air Liquide hubs & clusters

  • Adapt quickly to the new energy transition topics that will come-up in a fast moving environment.

  • Benchmark and analysis of cutting-edge tools used in the market

  • keeping track of all WW AL sink discussions and T&Cs

Energy transition mission description:

  • Tracking/ranking of available techno-economic solutions to achieve Air Liquides decarbonisation targets (e.g. renewable processes vs. low-carbon processes)


Are you a match


Education:

  • Engineering Background

  • Masters Degree in Engineering

  • Specialization in Geology Energy climate power business or finance

Soft and Hard Skills:

  • Ability to analyze and understand complex problems.

  • Interest and knowledge of industrial climate and energy topics.

  • strong (written) communication skills and being able to quickly and shortly synthesize

  • Understanding of financial instruments in techno-economic assessments.

  • Strong data analysis skills from data cleaning to clear visualizations.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to rally teams around shared goals.

  • Ability to juggle multiple work-streams in a fast-paced environment.

Advancing for the environment: to address key issues in particular to fight climate change Air Liquide is acting to minimize its CO2 emissions while developing a wide range of low carbon solutions for its customers including hydrogen CO2 capture and access to renewable energy. The Group is also committing to water management and biodiversity preservation.
Air Liquide reduced its carbon intensity by -25% compared to 2015 and is on track to achieve its objective to reduce by -30% its carbon intensity by 2025.
In line with the objective of reaching a -33% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 of its absolute CO2 emissions by 2035 with an inflection point in 2025 and on track with reaching carbon neutrality by 2050 the Groups 2022 absolute CO2 emissions have remained stable for two years in a row while Air Liquide has continued to develop the business.
Air Liquide increased its renewable energy sourcing volumes by 10% versus 2021 in particular to supply its biggest oxygen production site in the world located in South Africa.
New - to strenghten its engagement to the entire value chain and further address CO2 emissions downstream of its operations Air Liquide has undertaken its first Scope 3 objective to have within two years 75% of its Top 50 customers committed to 2050 Carbon neutrality and bring it to 100% by 2035.


Being able to analyze the different aspects of Air Liquides low carbon solutions is essential to provide strategic decision capabilities for the Group and to understand the drivers of the energy transition. The Low Carbon Molecules team within the Large Industries World Business Line is at the forefront of these activities with a main target of identifying the most economic CO2 sinks. Furthermore CO2 sequestration needs to be assessed with regards to alternative decarbonisation solutions.

The role is as a member of the global low carbon molecules team in the Large Industries World Business Line exposing the candidate to the key energy transition challenges across the groups global markets. This position reports to the VP Low Carbon Molecule which provides access to a large network and knowledge.
