Under limited supervision the Patient Experience Navigator helps coordinate the development implementation quantitative assessment and evaluation of Charles Regional Medical Centers (CRMC) Patient Experience program. The Patient Experience Navigator investigates resolves documents and reports organization-specific patient and family compliments and concerns to leadership and staff. Develops implements and participates in customer service and patient relations initiatives related to the in-patient setting. Provides regular accountability and variance analysis of Customer Service Outcome Data.
Qualifications :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- To qualify for the position the candidate must have a Bachelors Degree (BA BS BSN).
- Experience in a service industry such as: hospitality restaurant personal services amusements and recreation or healthcare are preferred.
- Four to six (4-6) years of relevant experience in such service-industries is preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must understand principles of first grade customer service and various approaches to application
- Must work in conjunction with staff in a supportive way to troubleshoot and resolve issue
- Must be able to interact with patients and families
- Ability to use assessment planning implementation and evaluation skills for effectiveness of patient outcomes
- Possess strong customer service skills to interact with physicians senior leadership
- Must be able to address difficult awkward situations
- Must be a team player and have proven success applying a team approach to obtain resolution to an issue or successfully accomplish a goal.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Windows-based operating software/systems; Good presentations skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with patients physicians administration health system officials other health system personnel and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Knowledge of basic statistics and the ability to interpret graphical illustrations regarding patient experience data.
REASONING ABILITY: Excellent analytical skills including analysis planning organizing and troubleshooting
CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Certified in patient navigation (CPN) is desirable not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will work in a clean well-lighted environment. Requires sitting approximately 85% of the time; requires reaching/pushing/pulling lifting and carrying supplies and equipment up to 15 lbs. approximately 15% of the time. Potential exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials requiring the observance of Universal Precautions and safe handling practices.
