Job Summary
You are an experienced payroll professional with deep knowledge of Portuguese payroll and a passion for international operations At SIXT we are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) to take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes across several this role you will act as a key partner for our HR Finance and external payroll providers to ensure smooth operations compliance and continuous improvement. YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
You manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries with full ownership of the Portuguese payroll
You ensure data accuracy and legal compliance across payroll systems providers and internal processes
You collaborate closely with HR Finance and third-party providers to resolve complex payroll issues
You prepare and validate reports audits and statutory declarations in alignment with local regulations
You identify and lead process improvements and automation opportunities across payroll operations
You provide guidance and support to junior team members sharing your expertise and best practices
YOUR SKILLS MATTER
Experience You bring 3 years of experience in international payroll with strong expertise in Portuguese payroll processes and legislation
Education You hold a degree in Finance Accounting Human Resources or a related field
Technical Skills You are experienced in working with payroll systems and HRIS tools (e.g. ADP Workday)
Compliance You have a deep understanding of local labor laws tax regulations and social contributions in Portugal
Language You are fluent in English both written and spoken (mandatory)
Soft Skills You are detail-oriented proactive and confident working cross-functionally in an international environment
