The EMEA Treasury Centre of Excellence is responsible for managing the AbbVie Treasury activities in more than 45 countries in EMEA region. The Treasury Analyst assists with providing support in a variety of cross-functional areas including critical touchpoints with Commercial Affiliates Corporate Disbursements Operations Payroll team Finance Shared Services (FSS) and VLOG (Distribution & Logistics) Finance team.
The Treasury Analyst will interact regularly with our external Bank partners. The ability to work cross-functionally and with the external Bank partners will be critical for successful execution of the positions responsibilities.
You will join the team based in Hoofddorp reporting into the Treasury Lead EMEA.
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prepare cash flow positioning and forecast analysis for affiliates and ensure affiliates have sufficient cash to make payments while excess cash is being utilized efficiently (pooled and invested).
- Review and analyze weekly cash positioning with Treasury Lead and submit trade requests to Central Treasury Unit (CTU) in Chicago.
- Monitor monthly netting process for countries in scope including hedge requests as needed.
- Proactive collaboration across functions (affiliates FSS VLOG FX hedging team) to identify potential foreign currency exposure assess materiality align on hedging timing and approach. Submit trades when required.
- Assist if needed with periodic financial and risk assessments (e.g. thin capitalization credit limits trade finance flows). Support DNB reporting submissions for entities assigned.
- Manage manual payment requests in SAP and banking portals together with Treasury Support team as needed (e.g. urgent government tax payments) while ensuring that PTP processes are followed.
- Support team with payroll related activities.
- Collaborate with banks on a regular basis to follow up solve open items/issues and coordinate smooth execution of transactions.
- Collaborate with Treasury Support team on centralization activities e.g. payments E-banking administration KYC audit requests and others. Act as administrator for local banks in the region.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to update account signatories including annual recertifications.
- Work as key support for Affiliate Finance teams and FSS on all Treasury related topics.
- Participate and actively support various Treasury cross-functional projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree - in Accounting Finance.
- Two to three years of Finance/Accounting required preferably with experience in Treasury.
- Strong analytical interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Working knowledge of SAP Treasury module including understanding of master data PTP OTC & RTR or of other relevant Treasury Management Systems.
- Strong communication skillsboth written and verbal (English).
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment as well as obtaining results through collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while prioritizing workload accordingly.
- Given the regional nature of the role the candidate must be flexible to work on national holidays as needed.
- Hybrid working model (3 days in the office)
