We provide a high quality service within a large interdisciplinary Allied Health team to a range of patients including ICU orthopaedic cardiorespiratory general medical general surgical neurosurgery spinal surgery neurology inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. With we have an exciting opportunity for an applicant with significant hospital-based acute care experience as an AHP3 Physiotherapist.
- Fixed term full time AHP3 position with part-time considered
- Predominately based in ICU and acute care including medical cardiac neurosurgery and general surgery caseload
- Provide a high level of clinical speciality within ICU
- Lead professional development and quality improvement activities
- Be supported within in a large multi-disciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of physiotherapy services for a 20 bed Level 3 Intensive Care Unit and Cardiorespiratory patients
- To provide comprehensive evidence-based and patient centred physiotherapy assessment and management
- Report to the Allied Health Manager on continuing service evaluation and improvement
- Contribute to planning and implementing quality activities
- Be responsible for the clinical supervision and support of AH Therapist Grade 1 and 2 Physiotherapists
- Provide staff education and training
What you bring:
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Full registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and AHPRA
- Enthusiasm to support the physiotherapy team to provide high quality physiotherapy services
- Excellent communication skills with the desire to be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering integrated and quality healthcare patient outcomes
- Demonstrated involvement and commitment to relevant professional development
- Extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of patients presenting with a variety of different conditions including those critically ill and ventilated
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Advanced ability to organise set priorities and manage time effectively for caseload management
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
