JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the supervision of the controller the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and overseeing the entire accounts payable area for selected PHMC programs and subsidies including managing a team of staff who review and processes invoices reconcile vendor balances ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department.
- Manage billing and payment reconciliation for resource parent stipend payments.
- Resolve all payment issues and concerns.
- Initiates timely check runs to of payments to vendor.
- Generate and analyze reports on accounts payable balances outstanding invoices and weekly payment proposals.
- Work with team on vendor statements and reconcile balance quarterly and annually.
- Experience with automated expense reimbursement and credit card expenditure processing systems. (Expensify) to troubleshoot issues and be supportive of team.
- Issue 1099 on an annual basis to all applicable vendors.
- Account Analysis of GL accounts.
- Support in audits with handling discrepancies.
- Perform supervisory task which includes hiring training staff development annual assessment and managing the team.
- Build strong relationships with vendors while negotiating payment terms.
- Responsible for positive pay submission and stop payments to bank and resolving issues.
- Review research and resolve GL activity make adjustments as needed.
- Ensure team is complying with company policies.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS:

- Strong planning and problem solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong General Ledger skills: ability to analyze accounts and create journal entries
EXPERIENCE:
- Must possess technical and professional accounting skills ability to develop financial and other operational systems
- Must have excellent knowledge of PC and related accounting applications.
- Strong written and verbal skills are required.
- Must possess analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Must have at least 5 years of accounting experience.
- 5 to 7 years work experience in accounts payable.
- 2 to 4 years supervisory experience required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance Administration or other related field
